Mission & Study Tours
We are pleased to have the company of Ruby and John Joseph, mother and son, on one of our recent trips to Cambodia.
Ruby, a former English teacher from Singapore, taught the ECS staff on English grammar.
John encouraged a classroom of students from the passage in Joshua about overcoming strongholds. They also assisted in ministering to some local churches.
Bridgeway Cambodia Mission:
The highly talented team from California Silicon Valley bonded very well with the students and teachers through their lively talks and thought-provoking lessons.
Hong Kong Polytechnics University:
ECS is privileged to be selected every year as the school in Cambodia that PolyU students may impart their skills learned through their course works to deserving students.
What the ECS students received from the PolyU is substantial both in knowledge and in career pursuits.
We now hear them talking about choosing engineering, science and IT as career choices.
It is heart-warming to learn that ECS staff and students on their own motivation decided to build a wider and levelled walkway.
St John Brigade
A number of our teachers are now trained and commissioned through Phnom Penh’s St John – a group known for their first aid, life support, home nursing
and ambulance volunteer services. ECS students will be the first local school to have students participating in this uniformed group.
Pastor Sarith who is the pastor of the Covenant city church is settling into the routine of twice-weekly dialysis;
to ease the pain of kidney failure which had suddenly hit him since December. The treatment should preferably be done three times a week, however, for a financial reason, it is only done if very necessary. Despite the setback, Sarith had continued his pastoral duties with vigour. Glad to inform that the church is more united and faithful in their prayer and worship.
Our Nation Of Australia Needs More Prayer, More Worship. That’s how things are overcome.
That’s the desire of our hearts too for Christians in Cambodia and every nation. In Christ’s Agape-love,
Ps Teresa & Tim
